A Message from Chairman Dennis Thomas

Since 1974, the Johnson–Green Family Reunion has been more than a gathering—it has been a living celebration of our family’s history, faith, love, and strength.

​

For more than five decades, I have been honored to help carry the light of this reunion. However, that light has never belonged to one person. It shines because generations of Johnsons and Greens have worked, sacrificed, prayed, and remained committed to keeping our family connected.

​

Our reunion reminds us that we are branches of the same family tree. Although we may live in different places and follow different paths, our roots remain deeply connected. When we come together, we honor the ancestors who came before us, strengthen the relationships we share today, and create a legacy for the generations who will follow.

​

As we prepare for the 2027 Johnson–Green Family Reunion, let us come together with open hearts and a renewed spirit of unity. Let us celebrate our elders, embrace our young people, learn our family history, heal old wounds, and continue building a family where everyone knows they belong.

​

My greatest hope is that the next generation will take hold of this beacon and carry it forward—brighter, stronger, and farther than ever before.

​

May we always remember: Our roots connect us, our love strengthens us, and our legacy lives through us.
